教学关键 立足课改

这是一节实实在在的作文课,因为当时给我的印象很深,所以到现在我都记忆犹新,借此机会,用书面的形式呈现出来,以此来记录当时的课堂内容,供大家来共勉。

这节课的作文题目是: How to protect wildlife?

任务一:

上课一开始,我先让学生们阅读P25(必修三)的内容,复习并概括出野生动物濒临灭绝的原因,完成学案上Step1的内容。任务一布置下去,同学们很快就找出了答案,答案主要有三点:1. Over hunted; 2.Lack of food; 3. Habitat is being threatened. 这是第一个环节。下面是当时设计的学案:

Period 6 Using language (speaking and writing)

Learning Aims: [学习目标]

Improve our speaking and writing ability.提高我们的口语与写作能力。

Learning Procedures:[学习步骤]

Step1. In pairs choose an endangered animal which you know about. Analyse why this animal is endangered.

Step2. Discuss what you might do to save it using these expressions on P31 (Book).

任务二:

接下来我带领同学们齐读了Some useful expressions (必修三P31)的内容,为下一个环节做铺垫。

任务三:

然后学生们以组为单位来讨论拯救野生动物的具体做法,在学生们讨论的时候,我来回走动为的是帮助学生们正确地表达自己的思想,5分钟后开始展示,展示的主要内容如下:

1. I plan to punish those who do harm to wildlife.

2. I’m going to tell WWF to help wildlife.

3. I’d rather not wear fur coat in order to protect wildlife.

4. Learn to live in harmony with all wildlife.

5. Less wear sweaters made from wildlife. Less eat wildlife.

6. Don’t hunt/pollute.

7. I suggest making a special park for them.

以上是学生们展示在黑板上的句子,当时给我的感觉是孩子们的想法真好,很是出乎我的意料,集体的智慧是无穷尽的,课改正好给了孩子们主动发挥他们想法的机会,充分挖掘了孩子们潜在的能量,这正是课改要达到的目的。

任务四:

到了布置作业的环节,考虑到学生们的层次不同,有能力的同学独立完成自己的作文,有困难的同学把必修2书上32页的内容补全完整后写在作业本上。

P32页上的文章如下:

I live on an island near Africa. This is the only home of the red Colobus monkey but there are very few left. This is my plan to save the monkeys.

First, I suggest making a special park for them. We should inspect them every month and see how fit they are and whether they need more food or medicine.

第二天,课代表把作业送过来,我批阅了之后,感觉很好。我把其中的三篇作文展示如下:

案例一:

Dear WWF,

I’m a high school student. I know some plants and animals are endangered. They need our help. They need food, a good environment and safety.

First, I suggest making a special park for endangered animals by the government. I know we should pay more attention to wildlife.

Second, I plan to punish those who do harm to wildlife.

Third, learn to live in harmony with all wildlife.

Finally, I’d rather not wear fur coat in order to protect wildlife.

Please help the wildlife and I am sure that they will survive with your help. Everyone should try your best to protect them.

以上三篇作文源于普通班的学生之手,第一位同学是自己所写,很有条理地表达了自己的想法,后两位同学是把书上P32的文章补全后写出来的文章,不管是以什么样的方式吧,能很条理地把我布置的作业写完,对于普通班的学生来说,已经很不错了,看来课改在一定程度上促进了同学们的学习,对学生们的英语学习有很好的帮助,这一点是非常值得肯定的。

总之,课改的方向是正确的,但值得深思的是,选择什么样的方法能更好地促进孩子们的学习确是需要每一位工作在一线的教师不断的探索和实践的,最后祝愿我们长治十九中的课改取得更进一步的成功和质的飞跃。
