FFIII DS Date Set in JapanDS版《最终幻想III》日本发售期已定

According to , Square Enix has set August 24 as the Japanese launch date for the DS remake of Final Fantasy III. The suggested retail price is 5,980 yen ($53). By comparison, the majority of Japanese DS titles are priced in the 2,800-4,800 yen ($25-$43) range. The original Final Fantasy III for the NES was released in 1990 and sold more than 1 million copies. This remake marks FFIII's first ever appearance on another hardware platform. The DS version will feature improved sound and 3D graphics as well as support for the DS's native touch-screen and wireless features.

PSP Firmware Updated to 2.71PSP固件升级至2.71版

On June 1st, Sony released a new firmware update to the PlayStation Portable that moves the system from the 2.70 version released in April to 2.71. As the incremental advancement in the version number suggests, it doesn't seem to be a very large update - it notifies users of only two changes upon installation. The bigger of the two changes is the ability to download game demos directly from the PSP Internet browser to the system's memory stick. The other change is a fix for the LocationFree Player so that video output is displayed properly when an external tuner is selected.

Painkiller: Hell Wars Pushed Back 《恐惧杀手：地狱战争》延期

DreamCatcher has announced that they are extending the development time of Painkiller: Hell Wars. Quality reasons were given as to why the Xbox title has been pushed back. "With millions of gamers still playing on first generation Xboxes, and the market ripe for a new top-notch shooter, we want to deliver the very best game possible and surpass the legacy of the original, award-winning PC version of Painkiller," said Marshall Zwicker, Vice President of Marketing at DreamCatcher. "We know when Painkiller: Hell Wars is released later this year it will live up to the hype, and offer an absolutely unforgettable gaming experience."
