Analysis on Transformation Pathways between Prior Learning Outcomes and Online University Credits

Abstract America has established a relatively mature system in the credit certification. The transformation pathways for prior learning outcomes mainly include Challenge Exams, Academic Portfolio, Corporate Training Programs, Professional Licenses and Credentials, and Military Training Programs, which not only satisfy American adults’ demand for higher education, but also retrench their time and cost and increase their opportunities for improvement. Combing with the situation ofeducation in China, it is necessary to establish the credit transformation system amongeducation institutions, encourage regular higher institutions to set up the online degree education, and issue sets of relevant policies and regulations to standard the administration of linkage betweeneducation and regular higher education.
