食品安全计划出台

从今年3月份的蒙牛毒牛奶，到5月份的毒胶囊，食品安全事故让名牌企业“一失足成千古恨”；有的企业忙着道歉，有的企业则依然忙着遮掩。地沟油、回锅油、染色馒头……频频曝光。食品安全成了公众关注的热点，也成为政府亟需解决的问题之一。为此，国务院出台了新的食品安全标准，并将食品安全监察列入政府绩效考核中。

Earlier in March this year，seven students at a primary school in Southwest China were sent into the hospital after they had eaten a free meal provided by the government and got sick. A product made by Mengniu Dairy， a milk producer in China， was suspected of causing the food poisoning. In response to the incident， the county government sealed up the free meals and took samples for inspection.

Food safety problems like this one have become a serious public concern now in China. According to the Ministry of Health， more than 8，324 Chinese suffered food poisoning last year， and 137 of them died.

In order to solve the problem， the State Council announced a decision to improve food safety， aiming to effectively solve main problems in three years.

China will establish a better regulation mechanism， legal and standard system as well as technical support for food safety so as to improve the overall food safety management level of the food industry in around five years， according to a State Council statement posted online. Food safety will also become a measure of local government’s performance in their annual assessment for the first time， the statement said.

A database of food safety records of food companies will be established and those on the black list will be made publicly known and punished， it said. Authorities must prevent expired food products from returning to the market， while consumers will be rewarded in cash for reporting illegal acts. Dairy products， edible oils， seasonal foods and drinks are among the major food categories to be checked.
