以“悦读”而阅读

摘要爱因斯坦曾经说过",兴趣是最好的老师"。这句话真知灼见地道出了兴趣对学习的重要性。学生一旦对英语产生兴趣,就像掌控了一把开启知识宝库的钥匙,就能产生无穷无尽的学习动力。本文论述了新课程背景下关注阅读教学的重要性,阐述采用“悦读”的方式激发阅读动机培养兴趣,使学生乐于参与,乐于阅读,提高阅读教学的实效。

兴趣是最好的老师。一个成功的英语教师要在教学中有意识地培 养学生对英语的持久兴趣,激励学生不断处于较佳的学习状态之中, 使他们对英语乐学、善学、会学,学而忘我,乐此不疲。目前,我校小学生所使用的教材为江苏省牛津小学英语,仅书上而言,学生们接触的英语阅读材料还是非常有限的,而很多教师也是就教材而教教材,因此,学生们的英语阅读能力不强,阅读兴趣不浓已成为普遍问题,渐渐的对阅读就失去了兴趣。而要解决这一问题的有效途径就是作为教师的我们要积极收集,编写适合学生英语水平的语篇,采用一种“悦”的方式去阅读以此培养学生的兴趣。

一、“悦读”语篇的界定

“悦读”语篇是指能让学生带着愉悦,期待,积极的心态去阅读,通过阅读享受文字,理解文字,感悟文字背后的内涵。如果说阅读是一种行为,那么悦读更多体现的是一种态度。当悦读成为一种习惯,阅读将成为一种享受。

二、“悦读”语篇的运用

(一)教材中的阅读资源。

教材中有不少阅读材料适合小学生阅读。这些材料与课内所学知识联系紧密,既注意了阅读的难度,又便于学生通过阅读及时巩固所学知识。

(二)趣味性强。

1.教学内容:《牛津小学英语》5B Unit1 A new term 中的PartE部分。

2.教师自主创编故事。

3.故事呈现方式:配合插图分段呈现。

4.故事内容。

Today there is an animal competition in the forest. The dog comes, the cat comes, the fox come, the monkey comes, the elephant, the sheep, the cow, the tiger, the bird all come. The fox is a judge.

The Fox: Attention ,all friends. I know all of you like Maths very much. Because it’s very interesting. So today we have a competition about Maths. Please tell me the answer the question as quickly as you can , if you can tell us at once , you will got the first place.

Listen carefully. Question 1: What’s 321 minus 123?

The Monkey:well. Let me see. I can tell you at once. It’s 198.

The Fox: Yes, That’s right.. Question 2: What’s 543 minus 345? Who can tell us at once?

The Monkey: Oh, I know. It 198.

The Fox: Well done. You’re right, too. So, you got the first place.

All animals are very surprised.

The tiger: Mr. Monkey, Why can you get the answer so quickly. What’s the trick?

The Monkey smiles and say nothing.

对于小学生而言,动物的语篇文章更能吸引学生的兴趣,更能让他们乐于参与活动中。为了让学生更深入地体会故事人物的心里,可以创造性的表现文本。这样一个贴合学生阅读兴趣又符合他们阅读能力的童话作品,能唤起学生对系列英语童话故事的阅读欲望,有助于他们更好地掌握和运用所学语言。

(三)美景美情。

1.教学内容:《牛津小学英语》6B Unit The seasons中的PartB&Part C部分。

2.学生自主创编故事。

3.故事呈现方式:配合插图分段呈现。

4.故事内容。

I like spring best in Yangzhou. The sky is very blue. The flowers are colorful. It is always windy and warm. My family likes to drive to ShouXi Lake on the weekend, because the water is clean and the air is sweet there. I often run on the grass and walk along the beautiful lake. Sometimes we have a picnic there. It’s my favourite.

该语篇的作者巧妙组合特色画面,表现动静相宜的景色美,流畅地表达了自己对春天的喜爱,是读者获得愉悦感受。这篇文章的景和意都是学生熟知的。很多词语的描述不仅使学生体验审美的愉悦,而且感受到了“亦文亦画”的阅读乐趣。

另外,仅限于教材中的阅读使远远不能提高学生的阅读能力的。而对于教材外的阅读资源,教师一定要收集适合学生水平的阅读材料。

(四)难易适中。

1.教学内容:课外拓展阅读语篇。

2.故事呈现方式:整篇呈现。

3.故事内容。

Jack Brown is a busy man. He loves his wife very much, but he often forgets his wife’s birthday. Today is May 21st. He buys a birthday cake and some beautiful flowers for his wife. When he gets home. Jack says, “happy birthday, Jane” Jane is surprised. She says, “Dear Jack, today is your birthday. My birthday is next month.”

以上故事情节比较生动,结局出人意料。这成为该故事的悦读点。对此篇材料教师可以做适当的补充:

(1)生词。

(2)练习。

a. 判断 ( )Jack Brown forgets his wife’s birthday again.

( ) Jack Brown’swife’s birthday is in April.

b. 续写故事。

Jack 听到Jane 说: today is Dear Jack, today is your birthday. My birthday is next month.教师让学生猜想Jack 可能说的话和想做的事,从而继续把故事讲下去。

4.故事内容

Halloween is an autumn holiday that Americans celebrate every year. It means "holy evening," and it comes every October 31, the evening before All Saints' Day. However, it is not really a church holiday, it is a holiday for children mainly.

Every autumn, when the vegetables are ready to eat, children pick large orange pumpkins. Then they cut faces in the pumpkins and put a burning candle inside. It looks as if there were a person looking out of the pumpkin! These lights are called jack-o'-lanterns, which means "Jack of the lantern".

The children also put on strange masks and frightening costumes every Halloween. Some children paint their faces to look like monsters. Then they carry boxes or bags from house to house. Every time they come to a new house, they say,"Trick or treat! Money or eat!" The grown-ups put treat-money or candy in their bags.

Not only children, but most grown-ups also love Halloween and Halloween parties because on this day,they can disguise themselves as personages or ghost as their imaginations will lead them. This bring them the satisfaction of being young.

教师创编的这一万圣节的文章文章,填补了学生知识结构中的信息差,而有信息差的阅读活动使学生与文本有了交集的意义。此类故事可满足学生的好奇心理,引导其追本溯源,也可激发他们了解不同区域文化的欲望,拓宽他们的视野,培养他们主动探求新知识的习惯。

教师应充分挖掘教材中的情感要素,将其巧妙地融入教学中。教师应通过故事激活学生的情感,陶冶学生的情操,从而培养学生优秀的品德素养。
