复合不定代词和复合不定副词的构成及用法

英语中，像something这样的词叫作复合不定代词；像somewhere这样的词叫作复合不定副词。为方便同学们记忆，现将复合不定代词和复合不定副词列表如下：

复合不定代词的用法：

1.复合不定代词作主语时，谓语动词必须用第三人称单数形式。例如：

Everything begins to grow in spring.春天万物开始生长。

Nothing is too difficult for you in the world if you put your heart intoit.

世上无难事，只怕有心人。

2.复合不定代词被形容词修饰时，复合不定代词要放在形容词之前。例如：

There is somethinginteresting in the book.这本书里有有趣的东西。

There js nothing important in today’s newspaper.

今天的报纸上没有什么重要的内容。

3.复合不定代词被动词不定式(短语)修饰时，不定式(短语)要后置。例如：

Well，would you like something to drink?好吧，来点饮料吗?

Do you have anything tO say for yourself?

你有什么要为你自己辩解的吗?

4.在反意疑问句中，表示人的复合不定代词在陈述句中作主语时，简略问句中的主语用he或they：如果表示物的复合不定代词在陈述句中作主语，简略问句中的主语用it。例如：

Nobody knows the answeL does he／do they?

没有人知道答案，是吗?

Someone is waiting for you at the school gate.isn’t he／aren’t they?

有人在门口等你，是不是?

Everything is ready，isn’t it?一切都准备好了，是吗?

Something is wrong with your computer，isn’t it?

你的电脑出毛病了，是不是?

5.every－复合不定代词与not连用，表示部分否定；而any－复合不定代词与not连用，表示完全否定。例如：

He didn’t know everything aboutit.对此他并不全部知晓。

Not everyone likes watching TV.并非人人都喜欢看电视。

Ididn’tmeet anybody onetheway.Imetnobody ontheway，

路上我没有遇到任何人。

复合不定副词的用法：

复合不定副词在英语中可作表语，也可作状语，修饰动词或其他副词。

Your bike must be somewhere in your school.

你的自行车一定在学校的什么地方。

He looked for his English book everywhere.but he didn’t find it.

他到处找他的英语书，但他没找到。

另外，由every－，some－组成的合成词一般来说表示肯定意义，由no-组成的合成词表示否定意义，由any-组成的合成词一般用于疑问句和否定句。some－组成的合成词也可用于疑问句，此时说话人希望对方给出肯定的回答。
