生本教育在中专英语教学中的运用初探

摘 要：在生本教学中，要充分调动和利用学生积极性，使学生在遇到难题时，学会相互合作，共同探讨，帮助学生形成终身学习的意识和能力。

一、引言

21世纪的教育是素质教育，要贯穿学习者的一生，要提倡生本教育。其核心教学理念是“高度尊重学生、相信学生，全面依靠学生，把以往教学中依靠教师的教，转变为主要依靠学生的学”。

二、生本教育的特点

生本教育中一般将学生分成4至6人的小组，课前准备和上课时，每位学生都必须在组内充分发挥其作用，让学生的潜能得到发挥。课前设置前置作业，上课时小组讨论、上台发言，课后追根究底。改变传统老师讲学生听的局面，在老师指导下，充分发挥学生主体作用，进行小组讨论、上台发言、交流体会、自主学习，突出学生。

三、生本教育在中专英语教学中的运用

现以《剑桥国际英语教程》（录像活动用书）中的第十四课 “Around the World： the game show”为例来阐明生本教育在中专英语教学中的应用初探。

（一）前置作业

前置作业要能充分体现让学生动手及合作学习的能力。根据课文内容，我设置了四个相关的问题，并把学生分成四组，让组长抽取其中一组问题作为小组的任务，各小组在组长的带领下通过网络，书籍等资源完成作业。前置作业如下：

Part I： Please find out the answers to the following questions both in English and Chinese. （Try to find pictures of the mentioned places and prepare to present the information by using paper or PPT in class.）

Group One：

1. Where is the Nile River？ Introduce it.

2. Where is the Amazon River？Introduce it.

3. What’s the highest waterfall in the world？ Introduce it.

Group Two：

1. What is the highest mountain in the world？ Introduce it.

2. Where is Mt. Mckinley？ Introduce it.

3. Where is Mt. Kilimanjaro？ Introduce it.

Group Three：

1. What is the largest desert in the world？ Introduce it.

2. Where is the Great Indian Desert？ Introduce it.

3. Where is the Gobi Desert？ Introduce it.

Group Four：

1. What is the largest city in the world？ Introduce it.

2. Where is Los Angeles？ Introduce it.

3. Where is Mexico City？ Introduce it.

Part II： Write at least three questions about your topics. You should know the answers to them.

Group One： Rivers and waterfalls

Group Two： Mountains and islands

Group Three： Deserts and oceans

Group Four： Cities and countries

（二）生本教育课堂

上课时，小组代表来展示自己组的作业成果，介绍所查到的有关地理知识。学生们听的非常认真，这为后面课本内容的理解与掌握奠定了基础。我针对学生所学知识设计了一个跟课本相似的game show，以小组为单位开展竞赛。其中三分之一的问题是课本内容，部分问题是学生自己设置的，而且问题用到了本课的语法点：比较级和最高级。这既可以让学生体会game show， 也可以检测学生前置作业的完成情况和所学知识的掌握程度，同时又让学生熟悉练习重点语法。其中设置的问题分为25分，50分和75分，由学生根据自己情况选择答题。学生们参加非常踊跃，场面非常热烈。所设计的问题如下：

Rivers and waterfalls

What is the longest river in the world？

Which is higher， Huangguoshu Waterfall or Hukou Waterfall？

Which river flows through the most countries， the Danube， the Mississippi or the Nile？

Mountains and islands

Which country is called the “island continent？”

What is the highest mountain in the world？

Which is larger， Greenland or Hainan？

Deserts and oceans

Which is larger， the Great Indian Desert or the Gobi Desert？

What is the largest ocean in the world？

How many oceans are there in the world？ What are they？

Cities and countries

Which is the largest city in North America？

Which is larger， Canada or China？

What are the top three largest countries in the world？

（三）课堂总结与课后作业

在课堂总结中，我让学生归纳本课所学到的知识，指明重点。课后作业先以第一个问题为例，讲明如何做，其余的要求学生以小组为单位合作完成，在下次课时展示。学生完成的情况很好。作业内容如下：

Write questions using the comparative or superlative form of each adjective

in parentheses and find out the answers to them. Then add at least three

questions by using comparative or superlative .

Group One： 2. planet： Earth---Saturn---Mars？ （big）

Group Two： 3. plane： the Concorde--- a 747？ （fast）

Group Three： 4. building： the Parthenon--- the Empire State Building？（old）

Group Four： 5. country：Brazil---Canada--- Argentina？ （large）

四、结语

古人云：“授人以鱼，可供一饭之需；授人以渔，斯足一世之用。”生本教育的核心就是关注学生的终身发展，使他们真正成为学习的主人。
