答：make money是习语，意思是“挣钱”“赚钱”，不是“造钱”。如：

答：英语中要表示“一两个……”，有两种常用表达，一是“a+名词（单数）+or two”，二是“one or two+名词（复数）”，注意两者不可混用（尤其注意不能将 a与 one用混）。如：

a day or two一两天 （不能说 one day or two）one or two days一两天

用作主语时，“a+名词+or two”可连用单数谓语或复数谓语，而“one or two+名词（复数）”则通常只连用复数谓语。如：

注：若语义需要，表示季节的名词有时还可以受数词、many、one of等的修饰。如：

问：要表示“与……相似”，be similar后是接 to还是 as？（云南龚素荣）

答：be similar to的意思是“与……相似”，其中的 to不能按汉语意思换成 as或 with，也不能说 as similar as。如：

His views are similar to mine. 他的看法接近我的看法。

My problems are similar to yours. 我的问题与你的差不多。

A cat is similar to a tiger in many ways. 猫在很多方面与虎相像。
