My New Teachers 课堂教学设计

教材分析

本模块以My New Teachers为话题,介绍了几位具有不同教学风格和个性特征的教师。学习目的是使学生会描述教师及校园生活,并能运用所学词汇、句型来表达自己的喜好,同时通过学习制定好教师的标准,使师生之间相互了解。

设计内容简介

本堂为阅读课。教师首先在电脑大屏幕上展示出几位学生自己的任课教师,让学生分组讨论进行描述,激发学生的学习兴趣和积极参与性。然后再导入今天所要介绍和描述的另三位老师。接着运用略读、查读等方法对文章逐层推进阅读,并做相应的练习题,逐步推进学生对文章课文的理解,然后让学生听录音并根据所学内容对文章三位老师的描述进行简单概括复述,达到口语的训练,同时也加深了对老师的了解和热爱,使师生关系更加融洽,达到了情感教育。

教学目标

1. 通过阅读课文,使学生可以了解三位教师的性格特征、授课方式及学生的评价。

2. 通过阅读练习,检测学生对课文的理解,培养学生获取信息、猜测词义等阅读能力。

3. 通过阅读的学习使学生加深对老师的了解和热爱,既发挥学习主动性,也配合教师的教学工作,使师生关系更为融洽。

教学重点与难点

1. 确保学生通过泛读和精读真正理解课文。

2.让学生会用所学的词汇来描述他们喜爱的老师。

教学过程

Step I Leading-in

T: Today we are going to learn Module Two. Look at these pictures on the screen. Do you know them? Yes, they are your teachers. Describe one of them with your partners and try to use the words in Activity 1 at the same time. ( a few minutes later )

S1: Mrs Gao is very careful and always returns our homework on time and corrects our mistakes carefully.

S2: Mr Wang is humorous and popular with us. When we are tired, he will tell jokes.

S3: Mrs Xi is very strict and serious. We have to hand in our homework on time,

or you will be found reciting a text in her office, but we all like her, especially those who lack of self-control.

T: Excellent! Please turn to page 12 and look at their pictures. They are Mrs Li, Mrs Chen and Mr Wu.

[设计说明] 通过让学生描述自己的任课老师,贴近学生的生活,会增强学生的学习兴趣,同时又很自然地导入课文主题。

Step II Reading

1.Fast-reading

T: Before reading the text, please answer the following questions according to the pictures.

Questions:

① What are your impressions of each teachers?

② Which teacher do you think the students like a lot?

③ Who is a very good teacher but serious and strict?

④ What subject does each teacher teach?

S1: According to the picture, Mrs Li is young and energetic. The students must like her a lot.

I think she is an English teacher.

S2: Mrs Chen must be very strict with her students. From the picture we can see she is very

serious. So I think not all of her students like her. Maybe she is a history teacher.

S3: I guess Mr Wu is very handsome and humorous. His lesson must be very interesting. And

the students are likely to like him a lot. I think he teaches chemistry.

T: Very bold guessing! We need to read the text to see whether what you said is true or false.

Now let us read the text quickly and find the true answers.

[设计说明]让学生在阅读课文前看图片做猜测,为使学生能在快速阅读课文时有针对性的搜索相关的内容,培养了学生的泛读技巧,同时也提高了他们的概括总结能力。

2.Careful-reading

T: Now read the passage carefully and tell me in which aspects the writer describes the three

teachers. (discuss )

S: …

T: You are quite right. Let us try to get a general understanding of the passage. Fill in the

table on the screen after reading the text again.

[设计说明]在略读的基础上采用跳读、查读的阅读手段,使学生对课文逐层深入了解,然后根据表格设置获得特定信息,加深对文章的理解。

Listening and exercising

T: Now according to your understanding to the passage, listen to the tape and imitate the pronunciation. At the same time pay attention to some important words and useful expressions and then do exercises 2-4.
