Plot

Harry returns for his fifth year of study at Hogwarts. He finds that much of the wizarding community is in 1)denial about his recent 2)encounter with Lord Voldemort, preferring to turn a blind eye to the news that Voldemort has returned. The Minister for Magic, Cornelius Fudge, fears that Hogwarts?Headmaster, Albus Dumbledore, is lying about Voldemort’s return in order to undermine his power and take his job. Therefore, he 3)appoints a new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher to 4)keep watch over Dumbledore and the Hogwarts students. However, Professor Dolores Umbridge’s course of 5)defensive magic leaves the young wizards unprepared to defend themselves against the dark forces 6)threatening them and the entire wizarding community. So, at the 7)prompting of his friends Hermione and Ron, Harry takes matters into his own hands. Meeting secretly with a small group of students who name themselves Dumbledore’s Army, Harry teaches them how to defend themselves against the Dark Arts, preparing the young wizards for the extraordinary battle that lies ahead.

Emma Watson 8)Confirmed for Final Two Harry Potter Films

In a statement released by Warner Bros., Emma Watson will join fellow cast members Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint in the final two Harry Potter films. “when Daniel, Rupert and Emma were first 9)cast as Harry, Ron and Hermione, we knew they were not only talented, but had a very special chemistry,”said Jeff Robinov, President of Production for Warner Bros. Pictures.”Through the years, and in each of the Harry Potter films, we have watched them grow into extraordinary young adults, as well as 10)remarkable actors. It would be 11)inconceivable to imagine anyone else in the roles with which they have become so 12)identified, so we are 13)thrilled and proud that Daniel, Rupert and Emma have chosen to complete the 14)arc of their characters in the final two films.”

Rumors had begun circling that actress Emma Watson, who plays Hermione Granger, had grown tired of being known as “that girl from Harry Potter”and would not return for the final two films. In a 15)press release, Emma Watson is quoted as saying, “I could never let Hermione go ?she is my hero! I love her too much, and love what playing her has meant to me. I am excited and honoured to be finishing what I started and [to be] playing her in all seven of the films.”

16)Regarding the final two films, Daniel Radcliffe 17)remarked, “Playing the role of Harry Potter has been an 18)immense 19)privilege, and I look forward to completing the series. I feel a huge sense of 20)loyalty to the character of Harry and the fans who have supported these films over the years. During filming, I have learnt so much, made lots of friends, and met people who have changed my life. I am 21)indebted to J. K. And what of Rupert Grint who plays Ron Weasley? “Ron Weasley has become a big part of my life, and not just because we’ve both got 22)ginger hair,?says Grint. “I’ve been so proud to play him and loved every second of being part of this world. I’m really looking forward to filming the last two films and being back with my ‘weasley family’and, of course, to seeing my good friends Emma and Dan.
