1. 他乘公共汽车去上学。

误:He takes bus to go to school. / He goes to school by the bus.

正:He takes the bus to go to school. / He goes to school by bus.

析:动词take作“乘、坐”讲时,常用于“take +限定词+表示交通工具的名词”结构中,强调具体的动作,在句中作谓语。介词by作“乘、坐”讲时,常用于“by+表示交通工具的名词”结构中,名词前不用限定词,在句中作状语。

2. 你是几点到那儿的?

误:When did you get to there?

正:When did you get there?

析:get作“到达”讲时,是不及物动词,后面接地点名词要用介词to;若接地点副词(here, there, home),则不可再用介词to。

3. 他匆匆吃过早饭就去上学了。

误:He had quick breakfast and went to school.

正:He had a quick breakfast and went to school.

析:表示三餐的名词(breakfast, lunch, supper)作have的宾语时,前面一般不用冠词;但当它们前面有修饰语时,则要用冠词。例如:She often has lunch at 12:00.

4. 我的词典与你的不一样。

误:My dictionary is different with yours.

正:My dictionary is different from yours.

析:be different from是一个固定词组,意思是“与……不同”,介词from不可用with来替代。

5. 很多学生都在餐厅里。

误:The number of students are in the dinning hall.

正:A number of students are in the dinning hall.

析:a number of 与the number of后面都可接复数名词,a number of的意思是“很多……”,作主语时谓语动词要用复数形式;the number of的意思是“……的数量”,作主语时谓语动词要用单数形式。

6. 这件T恤衫太小了,你再给我拿一件看看好吗?

误:This T-shirt is too small. Can you show me the other one?

正:This T-shirt is too small. Can you show me another one?

析:the other是指两个中的另一个,another是泛指三者或三者以上中的另一个。

7. 谢谢你邀请我参加你的生日聚会。

误:Thank you to invite me to your birthday party.

正:Thank you for inviting me to your birthday party.

正:Thanks for inviting me to your birthday party.

析:“Thank you for (doing) sth.”相当于“Thanks for (doing) sth.”,意思是“因……感谢你”,介词for后面跟动词-ing形式。

8. 整个上午他都在看电视。

误:He watched TV whole the morning.

正:He watched TV the whole morning.

析:whole一般位于冠词、物主代词的后面。

9. 他的父母都是教师。

误:His parents are all teachers.

正:His parents are both teachers.

析:both是指“两者都”,all是指“三者或三者以上都”,要放在连系动词be、助动词或情态动词的后面,行为动词的前面。

10. 我的朋友经常使我发笑。

误:My friend often makes me to laugh.

正:My friend often makes me laugh.

析:动词 make后面要跟不带to的动词不定式作宾语补足语。类似的动词还有:let, hear, see, watch等。
