Analysis on the Current Situation of the Teaching of the Sino-foreign Cooperativ

Abstract: The actual situation of the teaching of the Sino-foreign cooperative educational projects in higher vocational colleges plays a direct role in the realization of the training objectives of projects. In this paper, a case study is conducted by the authors on the Sino-Ukraine and Sino-Poland cooperative educational projects in Cangzhou Vocational College of Technology from teaching course system, teaching method, feedback from students, and selection of teaching materials, and then relevant suggestions and thoughts are proposed in combination with the actual difficulties and problems in practices, and also the condition preparation for the smooth realization of Sino-foreign cooperative educational projects is further discussed.

1. Introduction

According to the Statistical Bulletin of China''s Higher Educational Undertaking Development 2011, the number of higher vocational colleges was 1246 all over the country, and the average size of students at school had reached 5904, and higher vocational colleges featured both higher education and vocational education.

Sino-foreign cooperative educational model has attained a rapid development like mushrooms after rain in Chinese higher vocational colleges. The National Medium and Long-term Educational Reform and Development Planning Program (2010-2020) of China clearly shows that it is necessary to vigorously develop vocational education, and also proposes the "strengthening the foreign exchange and cooperation of vocational schools" for the purpose of meeting the requirements of China''s social economic opening-up policy. In this background, a case study is conducted by the authors on the Sino-Ukraine and Sino-Poland cooperative educational projects in Cangzhou Vocational College of Technology in this paper, and also the introduction of teaching materials and teachers in projects and the process of teaching major courses with foreign languages totally or partially are analyzed.

2. current situation of the teaching of the sino-foreign cooperative Educational Projects in Cangzhou Vocational College of Technology

Since the cooperative educational project between Cangzhou Vocational College of Technology and Ukraine National Pedagogical University was started in 2005, an international exchange department has been established, mainly aiming at training junior college students in international trade, marketing and tourism management programs with an educational system of three years and a "2+1" teaching model. Up to now, more than 400 graduates had been trained, and 90% of them continued to study in an undergraduate program in Ukraine and about 20% continued to study in a graduate program, and all of them had attained diplomas from Cangzhou Vocational College of Technology and Ukraine National Pedagogical University successfully. In the mean time, the employments of the graduates from the cooperative educational programs are very good.
