As the right to obtain real right or values equal to real right, obligatory right is a legal form which reflects the circulation of property. Characterized by generalization, it has many common standards to conform to and is becoming increasingly international. In terms of constructing the law of obligation, we are just beginner. Besides, we are now facing the grand environment of global economic integration. Therefore, it is not wise for us to abandon the achievements of human civilization and create the law of obligation by ourselves. On the contrary, it is sensible for us to translate specifications or even system of obligation by combining China’s reality as well as by making reference to the law of obligation and its theories proved to be successful by practice. On the other hand, with the development of economy and the progress of the society, obligatory right is enriching and its study is deepening. Therefore, it is necessary and possible for us to make innovations in the system and theory of obligatory right in China. Obligatory Right:Reference and Development is such a book that reflects the above phenomenon and thoughts.
