New book release for Report on Chinese Book Publishing Industry, English edition

On April 16th, the Publishing House of Renmin University of China and Cengage Learning Publishing Group of England held a press conference to release the new book Report on Chinese Book Publishing Industry (English edition), titled “Chinese Publishing: Current Situation and Future,” in Hampton meeting room of London Earls Court Exhibition Centre.

It is the third time that the Publishing House of Renmin University of China released Report on Chinese Book Publishing Industry to report authoritative, detailed statistical data and materials and to give a systematic conclusion for Chinese book publishing industry, which is a periodically important expression and analysis for the domestic press. And this release of English edition can be a window for the foreign press and readers to realize Chinese publishing industry.

The released Report on Chinese Book Publishing Industry is further modified and completed based on the previous two editions; its framework and content are more substantial, and the depth of research and accuracy also have been further outreached. Through this activity, guests participated in this conference discussed the industrial structure, existing problems, and future development tendency of Chinese publishing industry, and issues on keeping contact with the rest of the world deeply.

New book release for the major work of Mr. Li Ruihuan, Pragmatic Truth, English edition

In the morning of April 18, the Publishing House of Renmin University of China and Pearson Education Group of England held a global new book press conference for the major work of Mr. Li Ruihuan, Pragmatic Truth, English edition, in Piccadily meeting room of London Earls Court Exhibition Centre. Vice director of General Administration of Press and News, Wu Shulin, the vice minister of General Office of the Central Committee, Niu Xuguang, the vice president of Renmin University of China, Wang Liming, the president of Pearson Education Group in Asia Pacific and the consultant of Chinese government “walk out” program, Kang Molun, the president of Pearson Education Group in Greater China District, Huang Xian, the president assistant of Renmin University of China and proprieter of the publishing house, He Yaomin, and the colleagues in the press participated in the conference.

Pragmatic Truth written by Mr. Li Ruihuan has got a warm welcome of vast readers since its Chinese edition was released in 2010, and the release of English edition is a great event for the theory and the press as it makes more readers all over the world appreciate this splendid and mature philosophy work of China.

The vice director, Wu Shulin indicated in his speech that, Pragmatic Truth possesses not only the profoundity of theory works, but also the universality, readability of popular literature; it is a model combined of theory and practice. The release of English edition of this philosophy work to the rest of the world is an affirmation and recognition from the foreign press.
