动词+Attention +(介词)结构一览

当前，在我国高校英语教学中普遍存在这么一种现象：英语语言能力的训练较多，英语思维训练较少。简单地说，英语思维就是用英语思考，是相对于英语以外的其他语言作为母语的人在交际时运用其母语进行思维，再通过翻译法把思维的结果译成英语再传达给对方的思维而言的。更何况，英语思维和汉语思维存在很大程度的不同，所以，英语教学中教师应擅于及时总结英语中常见的短语搭配，以便培养学生英语的思维能力。

名词attention 很少单独使用。可是它与动词的搭配上却显得十分活跃，有近百个动词可与其构成固定词组。在这些词组中，attention 的基本词义没有改变，词组表达的具体意义因动词不同而各异。现举例说明。

1 动词+ attention

attention 与单个动词构成的词组最多，attention的意思是注意、注意力、关注、留心、办理等。attention前有时可加形容词或物主代词等。

The president’s administrative programme absorbed public attention.

总统的施政纲领吸引了公众的注意。

Air pollution has attracted （drawn） much attention in the newspaper.

大气污染已在报纸上引起很大关注。

Public security claims （challenges） our attention .

社会治安值得我们注意。

His misfortune commanded everybody’s attention .

他的不幸得到了大家的关注。

This unhealthy tendency demands immediate attention.

这种不良的倾向需要立即加以注意。

The government’s magnificent manifesto enchained the attention of the people.

政府气壮山河的宣言吸引住了人们的注意。

Her brilliant performance gripped the audience’s attention.

她的精彩表演抓住了观众的注意力。

其他与attention 搭配的动词还有arouse ，awaken，arrest，capture，catch，compel，deserve，engage，excite，gain，grasp，hold，provoke，receive，require，secure，stimulate，win，challenge，等，不再一一例述。

2 动词+ attention + from（off）

attention与一个动词结合，后面搭配介词 from 或 off ，其前面可加定语。attention的意思是注意、注意力等。这类词组为数不多。

They made a feint to the east and attacked in the west.They attempted to detract the enemy’s attention from their main direction of the offensive.

他们声东击西，企图转移敌人对他们主攻方向的注意力。

The noise of traffic distracted my attention from my study.

车辆的喧嚣声使我不能专心读书。

Intense work diverted his attention from his annoyance.

紧张的工作使他忘却了烦恼。

3 动词+attention +on（upon）

attention 与一个动词及介词on 或者 upon 结合成为词组。attention 前可用定语。其词义是注意或注意力。

He bestowed his attention on the housing problem.

他把注意力放在住房问题上

They center their attention on economic structure reform.

他们把注意力集中在经济体制改革上。

For this year，the factory director’s chief attention should be fastened upon liberating productive force.

今年，厂长的主要的注意力应该集中在解放生产力上。

4 动词+attention + to

attention 与一个动词和介词to 构成词组。定语可用于attention 之前。Attention 具有注意、注意力、关心、专心等意思。

They accorded special attention to worker’s safety in production.

他们特别关心工人的安全生产。

He added much attention to frugality.

他非常注意节俭。

He called my attention to health protection.

他要我注意保健。

They devoted their attention to scientific experiment.

他们专心于科学试验。

5 动词+attention +（介词）

Attention 的复数形式与动词也可构成词组，其意义是殷勤、厚待等。

They showed the honoured guests numerous little attention.

他们对贵宾殷勤款待，无微不至。

He paid his attention to a film star.

他追求过一位电影明星。

6 成语动词+attention+（介词）

attention 可与一些成语动词构成短语。

The busy housework called away （off） my attention from my academic research.

繁忙的家务劳动分散了我对学术研究的注意力。

The child-care worker knows how to keep up the attention of children.

这位保育员懂得如何保持孩子们的注意力。

从上述例句来看，attention 与其他词搭配的范围相当广泛。可见英语活动能量之大，表现能力之强，学习英语不能满足于一知半解，必须从深层上理解和掌握语言现象，进而达到正确运用语言的目的。

总之，英语思维的训练方式很多，教师应利用多种途径，一步步地进行深化训练，从而达到掌握英语思维的目的。
