2.Yellow

用法：yellow dog懦夫；yellow press 煽情的报道。

例句：He was too yellow to fight. 他太胆怯不敢起来斗争。

3.Green

用法：

green hand缺乏经验的人； a green winter/house/ car /youth暖冬/温室/环保车/不成熟的年轻人； green issues/politics环保问题/政策。

例句：

（1）The teacher is green in experience. 那位教师经验尚浅。

（2）The event is still green in my memory. 那件事我仍然记忆犹新。

4.Black

用法：

5.Blue

6.White

用法：

White/green room 无菌/休息室；white bread 普普通通的；white elephant 大/昂贵而无用之物；white gas无铅汽油；white war不流血的战争；white water 激流。

例句：

（1）It is a white bread town.它是一个普普通通的老镇。

（2）The new office block has become a white elephant.这座新办公大楼成了昂贵的摆设。

（3）Tom boasted a lot about his courage but when danger came he showed the white feather. 汤姆吹嘘自己多有勇气，当遇到危险时却临阵退缩。

7. Brown

用法：

do it up brown彻底做好；be browned off厌烦/倦；brown bagger 自带盒饭上班者。

例句：

（1）When she does a job, she does it up brow. 她做一件工作就会把它做好。

（2）I am browned off with his scolding/jokes. 我烦死了他的责骂/玩笑。

8. Pink

用法：

pink gin苦味的杜松子酒； pink slip 解雇通知书；in the pink 极致，最高状态。
