Thoughts on Informationization Management of Business Enterprise

Abstract. Informationization management of Commercial Enterprise in China has made great progress in recent years. However, there is still a large gap compared to other developed countries. Informationization management of commercial enterprise can be improved by enhancing the awareness, introducing and cultivating new talents, strengthening efficient use of the relevant business information, government giving more policy support to the development of informationization management of Commercial Enterprise on capital and technology.

Key words: trade enterprises; informationization management; information technology.

1. INTRODUCTION

With the high-speed development of the economy in China, business enterprise has been growing very rapidly. Till the end of 2012, the added value of business industry account for 18.98% of GDP. The employment of this industry is 120 million people, accounting for 15.6% of the total employment. The informationization of the business enterprise has made great progress. Till the end of 2012, the percentage of the informationization management of the new form of business enterprise like supermarket, specialty store, convenient stores above a certain standard reached 89.92%. However, compared to the developed countries, there is still a large gap in informationization management especially in information technology management of the business enterprise. This study is conducted with the methodology of comparison.

2. ANALYSIS

Problems existed in the informationization management of business enterprise are as follows:

First, senior management of the business enterprise take more time and effort in cash flow, inventory management, marketing, enterprise financial management, etc. They lack the consciousness of the informationization management since they do know too much about informationization management. The information about the increase of the efficiency of the enterprise management by information technology is far behind the exploration and practice of business enterprise. The grasp of information about the increase of the efficiency of the enterprise management by information technology and the important role played in the enterprise management is far behind the exploration and practice of business enterprise. It leads to the less support in capital investment and introduction of talented people for the enterprise. Therefore, the lack of consciousness about informationization management of the senior management impeded the development of business enterprise.

Second, at present business enterprise lacks talents in information management, especially the talents who is proficient in the select and the evaluation of the software of the business management, the configuration of the computer hardware and excel in the collection, analysis, transmission, storage of the data. The lack of the talented people is another restriction factor that impedes the growth and the development of information management of the business enterprise.

Third, the current business enterprise can't take an effective use of the relevant business information. The effective use of relevant business information is the sorting, classification, processing of the primitive information used for the business management and business decision. Many business enterprises in China lacked the experience of analysis and treatment of the data for the daily management and operation decisions of the business enterprise

Fourth, Relative department should give more policy support on capital, technology, configuration of the equipment and facilities, the introduction of talent on information technology management. Social service agencies are not well developed: the number of social service agencies that can provide advice for enterprise management, enterprise acquirement, enterprise restructuring is small, and quality of the service provided can not meet the requirement for the management of the trade enterprise. Furthermore, the problem of disordered competition in software market of the trade enterprise remains to be solved.

Developed countries have more experience in informationization management for trade enterprise for China to refer to.

First, trade enterprises in US have stronger consciousness on informationization management. Holland, US, UK and Singapore have introduced consciousness in informationization management in 1970, 1972, 1992 and 1995 respectively. Information technology management in trade enterprise management is a brand-new management concept and management method. Management department and personnel pay great attention to the establishment of the message channel with information technology and use information technology to share and extend message and use information technology to participate market competition. Walma, the major retailer of the world with headquarter in US is successful in expanding information technology system with information technology and connecting it with market information and reinforce the market competition ability in both domestic and overseas market.

Second, business enterprises in US use computer management system to carry out operation and management. Most large-sized business enterprises in US install and use computer management system to carry out dynam11001ic operation and management for enterprise. With computer management system, senior management of the enterprise can clearly know the purchase, sales, number, storage, number, price, and cash flow of the variety of the commodities. Senior manager can make correct decision in operation and management with the above information, which improves the management efficiency and relieves workload of the manager.

Third, Japanese business enterprise applies advanced information technology to conduct dynamic management for customers. Management put all kinds of information into computer such as nationality, age gender, profession, hobby, habit, purchase time, linger time, consumption time, consumption amount, consumption budget. Computer makes analysis of the above information to create all kinds of tables and reports for various purposes. Management can provide customized service. By this way they win the customers and market shares in competition.

Fourth, the business enterprise attaches great importance to the talents on information technology. American business enterprises, especially large commercial enterprises attach great importance to to the talents on information technology with high work efficiency. The talents on information analysis and information management are usually in the major of computer, finance and economics, management. For the people who conduct the work should not only meet the degree requirements but also the exam requirement before recruited. After recruitment they will be professionally trained. the business enterprise use various ways to keep the talents to stay to serve the enterprises, such as providing more training opportunity in foreign countries, higher salary , higher welfare level, better working condition, improved living condition.

3. CONCLUSIONS

First, the business enterprise managers especially senior management personnel should enhance the awareness of of the business enterprise other than inventory management, marketing, cash flow, the enterprise financial management and etc., By promoting the awareness of the informatization management, manager can provide more support capital investment and talents introduction and talents cultivation to meet the even faster development informatization management. By promoting the awareness of the informatization management. The overall enterprise management can also be promoted.

Second, change the current situation of lacking talents in informatization management

Change the business enterprise the present situation of the lack of information management talents by introducing and cultivating talents, especially the talents with the knowledge of hardware installation, software assessment, information collection, analysis, transmission and processing. In the aspects of introducing and cultivating talents, China should refer to the experience of US by providing more training opportunity in foreign countries, higher salary, higher welfare level, better working condition, improved living condition for the talents in information and informatization management.

Third, Take an effective use of business information

Take an effective use of business information is to transfer the simple and original information into sorted information that reflect the features of the data and can be easily used by supplier and customers. This kind of information can be quite useful for operation and strategic decisions. effective use of business information can provide management know more about the market and take a more flexible marketing of the market and can take more market share with lower production cost and better product quality and on-time delivery. The enterprise that takes an effective of the business information can be more competitive in the market.

Fourth, the relevant government agencies should give more policy support in finance, communications equipment, and mechanism of introduction and cultivation of the talents. Increase the number of the service agencies and promote the quality of the service of the service agencies so that the service agencies can give advice and suggestions for the acquisition and purchase of the enterprises to meet the requirement of the enterprises.

To sum up, in the process of information construction of business enterprise, China should enhance the awareness of information management, introduce and cultivate talents on information management, promote the utilization relevant commercial information of the commercial enterprises to promote the information construction of the business enterprise, to improve the enterprise overall quality and to improve the core competitiveness of enterprises by refer to the experience of the foreign countries with the consideration of the actual situation of Chinese business enterprise.
