第十一届森林论坛开幕 讨论未来十五年全球可持续森林政策

UNFF11 was Held to Discuss the Sustainable Forest Policy in the Following 15 Years

2015年5月4日 第十一届联合国森林论坛5月4日在纽约总部开幕，这次会议的讨论成果将有助于制定未来十五年的全球森林政策，而且融入到今年9月即将通过的新的全球可持续发展议程当中。

国际社会将在今年制定新的全球可持续发展议程，其目标是消除贫困并且实现可持续发展，将森林政策融入到新的可持续发展议程当中显示了国际社会对于森林在消除贫困以及应对气候变化方面的关键作用的认识不断增强。

全世界有16亿人，相当于超过25%的世界人口，依赖森林为生，其中有12亿人利用农场上的树木来获取食物和现金。在气候变化的背景下，可持续的森林管理和对森林产品的负责任的使用是最有效和成本最低的自然碳捕捉和碳储存体系。

本次论坛的主题是“森林：进展、挑战以及迈向国际森林安排”。会议将审议现行的国际森林安排、森林对于国际商定的发展目标的贡献以及2015年以后森林政策的行动重点。会议将产生两份文件，一份部长宣言以及一份有关国际森林安排的决议。这些文件将指导国际社会未来十五年对森林的管理、保护和发展所采取的行动。

May 4， 2015 The 11th Session of the UN Forum on Forests （UNFF11） was held in the headquarter of New York on May 4， the result of the discussion of which will be helpful to the formulation of the global forest policy in the following 15 years and may be fused into the new global sustainable development agenda which will be passed in September.

The international community will formulate new global sustainable development agenda this year， whose goal is to eliminate poverty and achieve sustainable development. Fusing the forest policy into the new sustainable development agenda shows that the understanding of international community of the key role of forests in eliminating poverty and dealing with climate change has been improved continuously.

There are 1.6 billion people in the world， and over 25% of the population live on forests. Among them 1.2 billion people make use of the woods in the farm to get food and cash. Under the background of climate change， the sustainable management of forests and the responsible utilization of forest products is the most effective and low-cost system to capture and store natural carbon.

The theme of UNFF11 is "Forest： Arrangement of Development， Challenge and Stepping Towards International Forests". The conference will access the existing arrangements of international forests， the contribution of the internationally agreed development objectives and the post-2015 forest policy as the key of actions. The conference will see the formulation of two documents， one is the announcement of the minister and the other is a decision of international forest arrangement. These documents will guide the international society community in forest management， protection and the actions taken for development in the future 15 years.
