On Practice and Exploration of College English Multimedia Network Teaching in Ch

Abstract. With the development of the times, modern education technology constantly emerges, and modern college English classroom begins to tend to use multimedia network for teaching. One is that multimedia network teaching can enrich English teaching content. Two is that multimedia network teaching can make teaching process become full of vigour, highlighting the dominant position of students in the classroom. Three, multimedia network teaching is conducive to improving the comprehensive quality of English teachers. In view of this, university English teaching should positively introduce multimedia network technology in teaching process, in order to promote English teaching quality to obtain great improvement.

1. Introduction

21st Century is a brand new era, and science and technology have a rapid development, and information network has become more and more popular. All this makes education teaching field face the hitherto unknown change. Network technology has penetrated into various industries into social fields. In the 21st Century, it is hard to imagine if we don't use computer technology. In college English teaching process, students use multimedia network strength to fully train listening, speaking, reading and writing ability, in order to cultivate English application ability. At present, many colleges have not achieved the condition of realizing leveled teaching, which will make some students "cannot eat to the full", while some other students "have not eaten good", thus, they gradually lose the interest of learning English well. How to make each student obtain progress according to their own actual situation and improve their English level? Using multimedia network technology can effectively solve this problem.

Western constructivism learning theory thinks that students are the teaching center, and they require students to become the active construction subject and information processing main body. And multimedia network teaching has the advantage of conforming to this requirement. One is that multimedia network teaching can enrich English teaching content. Two is that multimedia network teaching can make teaching process become vigorous, highlighting the main body position in classroom. Three is that multimedia network teaching is good for promoting English teachers' overall improvement of comprehensive quality. In view of this, college English teaching should positively introduce multimedia network technology in teaching process, in order to promote English teaching quality obtain great improvement.

2. Strategies of College English Multimedia Network Teaching in China

1)Teachers should change teaching idea and change teaching means.

In college English teaching process, English teachers should fully use the true language environment created by multimedia disk, in order to create a good atmosphere of being positive and independently learning. Teachers should explain clearly to students about English learning content and requirement, network resource, disks and text usage methods, encouraging students to explore and study and automatically grasp learning skills. Secondly, teachers should arrange more group discussion activities and give guidance and help from this, guiding students to make further thinking based on group cooperation and discussion, gradually completing forming practice and developing independent learning ability.

2)Strengthening effective interaction between teachers and students

First, teachers should positively play their own teaching leading role, giving full play to traditional teaching mode advantages, in order to make students achieve language foundation, giving more help and guidance to students, and they can timely solve students’ learning confusion, in order to promote interaction and communication between teachers and students.

Secondly, teachers should prepare students' self-study requirements, plan and outline in lecture preparation, and they should sort out relevant materials and courseware, such as English key vocabulary explanation, synonyms explanation, summary text explanation, synchronous practice, forming practice and original English movie clips, English songs, English stories and English news, and in the teaching process, they should properly increase some multimedia English materials, which are very necessary.

Third, teachers should anticipate that it may appear problems in using multimedia network process, and solve the potential problems with methods and giving full play to teaching wisdom.

Needless to say, the above series of work details are directly related to the success of English teaching. It is the so-called "battle with preparation". It adopts multimedia network teaching and they naturally need teachers' leading role and conducting reasonable control, but they should control the disk usage degree and insist in proper principle. If in teaching process, adding too much multimedia network content is easy to overwhelm the teaching difficulties. If teachers show too much multimedia content, they may make students cannot remember or don't have time to digest the knowledge, with multiplier teaching effect. Teachers should positively encourage students to use multimedia network for independent learning after class. Or they can change some teaching content in class into online distance course content and they can upload to public server for students to make independent downloading or joint learning.

3)Reasonably treating students' errors

English teachers should adopt a tolerant attitude towards students' mistakes. When students have grammar errors in discussion, teachers cannot immediately interrupt students' discussion and make correction, it will immediately hurt students' learning initiative and discussion interests, and it will lead to students' discussion process in form, or when they do forming practice, it will lead to students pay much attention to language form but ignore language communication and actual content.

Of course, teachers should not allow students' errors, and they should point out students' representative errors in summary stages, using rich resources of multimedia network to tell students how to correct errors, and then use multimedia to display one or two representative successful examples for students and let them observe assessment, in order to achieve the purpose of inferring other things from one fact and analogy.

In addition, teachers should also timely adjust teaching direction and teaching schedule through students' feedback information, in order to ensure the success of multimedia network teaching and make it beyond the effect of traditional classroom teaching.

4)Making English textbook and multimedia courseware organically connect

As everyone knows, students have been accustomed to the use of English textbooks for learning. In traditional teaching mode, teachers take teaching materials as the center and teach them to make corresponding marks or directly make notes for future review. After adopting multimedia network teaching mode, multimedia content arrangement may not like the teachers' blackboard writing way and the content of the textbook content and the displayed content is generally to take main text as the main window, such as other background introduction, vocabulary explanation and grammar analysis content use hyperlink mode to pop up window, and each window should connect with divergent thinking and associative ways, instead of using a linear manner in traditional meaning to connect. As a result, students can easily ignore the content of textbooks in listening process or they cannot find the current presentation in what position. Thus, students preview the textbook content, which is very important for students. Book is basic and network is end, and teachers must not have the order reversed, and they cannot ignore the content of textbooks. Teachers should focus on the teaching objectives, guiding students to pay more attention to textbook content. As the displayed content of multimedia network teaching is very quick, if teachers' display speed is too quick and focus only on form, and they can easily make students into "embarrassing situation" of "learning without thinking is useless". So teachers should organically combine with English textbooks and multimedia courseware, grasping proper teaching rhythm, in order to promote students to independently construct English knowledge to form English ability.

3. Problems That Should Be Paid Attention to in Using College English Multimedia Network Teaching

In college English teaching process, it should use multimedia network, which has many advantages, but it has many details to be focused on, thus we can make full use of multimedia network function and value, in order to make it become the important carrier of promoting students' learning effect.

1)Students should know about their own learning process.

In learning process, students should know that they are the main body of information processing, and they should keep a clear understanding of their own personal construction process, thus they can choose proper learning materials and learning environment according to interests. They should properly adjust learning process and learning form according to their own ability. Teachers should "cultivate students' independent learning ability" to go through the whole teaching process and respect students' main body position. In adopting multimedia network teaching mode, when students cope with corresponding learning tasks according to their own personal preferences and they use different learning strategies, teachers should respect students' choice.

2)Avoiding multimedia network to cause teaching process complex

Undoubtedly, for obtaining English knowledge, multimedia currently has incomparable superiority, but English teaching core task is to cultivate students' ability. Ability cultivation should depend on strict teaching process design. Depending too much on multimedia network may deviate from the aim of English teaching. Now software of fabricating courseware is more and more perfect and there are more and more teaching materials, and many illustrations, animation and music fill in the whole courseware, stimulating students' involuntary attention, affecting students' focus attention on classroom teaching, interfering students' understanding and application on English language, so as to reduce English learning effect. Thus, college English teachers must properly use multimedia network technology and it cannot regard it as "Jack of all trades". When teachers select multimedia network, they need to start from the whole teaching process and think of the relationship between multimedia and teaching goal, teaching content and teaching objects. Based on this, whether we should use multimedia and how to use multimedia and truly playing the advantage of multimedia network technology.

3)We cannot ignore the use of traditional teaching multimedia.

Multimedia network technology is the extension of man, and by using more multimedia network, human subjectivity is more likely to be weakened, and some teachers think that using more multimedia is better, and a lesson from A to Z are using it. Actually, the use of multimedia should be refined. In addition, man-machine communication is one-way and non motile, and man-machine communication cannot replace the communication between people. Multimedia network teaching functions are strong, and pictures can directly show to the text content. The recording playback replaces teachers' reading, and dynamic image replaces the imagination, and as long as teachers gently bit, it is easy to complete. Thus, multimedia will dominate the leading role of teachers, which has been weakened. Actually, the main body of English learning is students, and the final goal is for students' development. So teachers should properly use traditional teaching media, using a chalk and blackboard to shorten teachers and students' distance, making two means to organically combine and conducting comprehensive application. To do this, we should clear two problems. One is that we should clear advantages and disadvantages of each other. Two is that for specific teaching content, we should consider which kind of multimedia and how to combine, in order to better complete the teaching tasks.

In short, college English course using multimedia network teaching can be local, which can stimulate students' learning interests, improve students' learning initiative and enthusiasm, in order to develop students' intelligence and improve teaching efficiency. The key is to start from macro perspective and they should not depend too much on multimedia network technology and it can regarded as an aided means to let students become the master of classroom and knowledge.
