Leonardo Advocates Environmental Protection

At the invitation of HSBC （Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation 汇丰银行）， the international superstar Leonardo DiCaprio （莱昂纳多•迪卡普里奥） went to Hong Kong to promote public environmental awareness. He appeared in the first release （首演） of The 11th Hour （《危机时刻》）， an environmental documentary（环保纪录片） supervised and narrated by him. He emphasized the urgency of environmental protection， calling for immediate actions to protect the Earth which is in crisis.

Leonardo has set a good example by taking such actions himself， such as eating organic food， using environment-friendly products and solar energy， and driving eco-friendly cars. When asked about how to protect environment， Leonardo points out emphatically that it must be based in everyday life. “Twelve years ago，”he says，“I talked with former US Vice President Al Gore （美国前副总统戈尔） in the White House about the global warming issue （地球暖化问题）. From then on， I have realized the seriousness of environmental damage and had the idea of advocating environmental protection through films.”

During the visit， smiling Leonardo left a good impression on his fans by satisfying their demands for taking photos and shaking hands with him.

Since her first successful performance on the stage， Li Yuchun （李宇春） has been the most charismatic （有号召力的） woman singer at home. About this， Miss Li says firmly， “I do not wish such things to be mentioned again and again， because I do this not to show myself. I’m only trying my best to help the people in need （有困难的人） and advocate what is right.”

In order to make Shang Wenjie’s （尚雯婕） concert in Shenzhen （深圳） different from that in Beijing and more successful， her record company has invited a creative team from Europe to design her image as the most beautiful model， thus setting a completely new trend in this summer.

Since it is the first time the team has cooperated with an Asian artist， it has done a lot of investigation into Miss Shang before accepting the invitation. Its leader believes that she has some unique and attractive qualities， such as elegance and nobility which were fully displayed in the last concert. This cooperation aims to show some of her other qualities such as gracefulness and vitality. Such a combination of elegance and vitality in design will enable the audience to enjoy the performance through both music and dressing.

It is known that her plan to hold a concert in Shanghai is also under discussion. As a new singer， she not only has released three records in a short period but also plans to hold individual concerts in three cities. With such hard work， Miss Shang is trying her best to satisfy the expectations of her fans.

Harry Potter has become a Chain-Smoker

On the set （拍摄现场） of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince （《哈利•波特与混血王子》）， an old airport in the suburbs of London， Daniel Radcliffe （丹尼尔） who plays Harry Potter in the film lights up a cigarette for a rest every time the director calls “cut”. It is told by the film crew （剧组人员） that Daniel has been smoking up to 20 cigarettes a day during this period. A reporter even uses such words as “uncomfortable” and “disgusting” to describe this young school-clothing-dressed wizard （身穿校服的巫师） who is seen putting a cigarette between his fingers， with his eyes half closed. His clean-cut image （纯洁的形象） cannot be seen any more.

About this， his cast mates （演员同伴） are quite worried. Rupert Grint （鲁伯特•格林特） who plays Ron Weasley （罗恩） tells reporters that a nervous Radcliffe turned to the cancer sticks （癌棒，指香烟） when he had to perform a tricky stunt （特技表演） himself because his double （替身） was absent last week. “If you go on smoking like this every day，” Rupert warns him， “you will most probably suffer from asthma （哮喘）.” Unfortunately， Daniel doesn’t seem to be taking any notice （不在意）. He has been dubbed “Harry Puffer” （“喷烟的哈利”） on the set.

Daniel’s agent （经纪公司） is also deeply concerned about this bad habit， warning that he mustn’t be seen puffing in public or his image as a good student would probably be ruined. A source （消息灵通人士） suspects that Daniel might have picked up such an unhealthy habit from stars like Kevin Spacey （凯文•史派西） and Stephen Fry （史蒂芬•弗莱） ， with whom he’s been having late nights out （夜不归宿）. But his friends explain， “He is bored with his clean-cut image. And he is also under huge pressures from his fans and the company. So his behavior may be the response of a rebel （叛逆者）.”

Daniel’s fans feel very sad when they see him smoking. “How can he smoke? After all， he is a model student.” But Daniel himself disagrees: “I’m no longer a child， but a young man.”
