SONY BRAVIA LED TV

At the outset of the festival season, Sony India has announced a range of powerful LED TVs. Powered by X-Reality technology, a unique picture engine, these LED TVs present an amazing picture quality. The tech analyses each scene pixel by pixel and uses sophisticated pattern matching to ensure the best picture quality is achieved. Then, one can enjoy movies, TV shows, music and photos from the user’s computer, home network and the Internet to their HDTV without the need of a computer. DELL LATITUDE XT3

Dell has added another laptop to its Indian portfolio, the Latitude XT3. Managing a balance between a tablet and a laptop, it comes with a 13.3-inch rotatable HD LCD display. The display can be detached from the keyboard and used as an individual tablet as well. This powerful machine sports Intel Core i5-2520M (2.5GHz) with 2GB RAM. SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE

Just when the world is witnessing the never ending war between the ever growing display size of smartphones and shrinking size of tablets, Samsung has come up with a new product and invented yet another category of‘Note’. Cited as a ‘new type of smartphone, borne of insight and innovation’, the company is treating this new category as an ultimate on-the-go device which combines the experience of various mobile devices by managing to put everything in the compact, smartphone size. The Galaxy Note has a big 5.3-inch display that makes us blanch: “This big a phone?” But Samsung is coming from a different school of thoughts with a lot of interesting features. Along with handing multiple tasks such as calling and staying connected, a note taking functionality has been added to this device with the aim of replacing the notebook that people usually carry to scribble notes on. Hence, the Galaxy Note will be accompanied with a stylus named the SPen that will allow users to write, scribble or doodle, just the way they do on a sheet of paper. Other features include the S Planner for managing schedules, S Memo for taking pictures, voice recordings, typed and handwritten notes, an 8 MP camera and 2500 mAh battery. Asus has recently introduced its first hi-fi USB digital to analog converter called Xonar Essence One. MAPMYINDIA CARPAD

To revolutionise in-car entertainment, MapmyIndia has launched CarPad. A blend of a 7-inch tablet with GPS navigation, it offers entertainment, communication and navigation. Support for 3G network will enable calling, messaging, email and browsing. Entertainment offerings include FM radio, movies, YouTube and camera. For navigation, it will have a comprehensive data of India maps with over 5,79,000 villages and town. Price: `22,990

VODAFONE FACEBOOK PHONE 555BLUE

Vodafone has tied up with Facebook to launch this phone, which integrates Facebook contacts with the phone’s address book as well as the message inbox. Although the 555 Blue does not support Wi-Fi or 3G, Vodafone is bundling unlimited data access to Facebook from the phone for the first year. Price: `4,499

FUJIFILM FINEPIX T 200

Targeting the youngsters, Fujifilm has come up with a compact camera, Finepix T200. It features 14 MP sensor along with 10x optical zoom. Available in five vibrant colours, including black and silver, it has features such as face detection, blink detection, motion panorama, dual image stabilisation, intelligent flash, 3200 ISO, etc. It can capture hi-def images and videos that can be viewed over HDTV with the help of Optional HDTV connection kit. IBALL SLIDE

The latest in the tablet space comes from iBall. The first tablet from the company has a 7-inch touch display with 1GHz ARM Cortex processor running Android Gingerbread. It is a 3G-ready device that has features like Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth, 8GB internal memory, front facing camera 2MP camera and HDMI ports. It also has a 4400 mAh bat- tery. BLACKBERRY 9810

Last month Research-In-Motion launched the Bold 9900 and now the company is rolling out the Torch 9810. Successor to the original Torch that offered a great blend of touch display with slide out QWERTY keypad, this phone is designed along the same lines. It has a 3.2-inch crisp display with a hidden keypad. Operating on the latest version of the operating system from the company, BB OS 7, it is powered by 1.2GHz processor.
