Benedict: Exactly. Exactly. I mean it was kind of romantic. I mean we are in the modern age where that is feasible. But I think it’s one of the first I’ve heard of, of actually getting a role that way. But...

Host: It’s the modern day of mailing in auditions, I guess.

Benedict: Exactly. Exactly. It was…it was not exactly cold calling ’cause it was asked for. And J. J. was like, “You did that on your iPhone?” And it was great. He was…he was very complimentary about it.

Host: Smaug the Dragon is gonna be your character in Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit. A little different than Sherlock Holmes.

Benedict: Yeah, little different.

Host: Is there definitely going to be a season three? Is that in the works?

Benedict: Well, I don’t know. I mean it really depends on what happens at the end of 9)the three that you’re about to see.
