当前，举国上下万众一心，全力以赴迎奥运。在迎奥运的各项准备工作中，其中一项重要的工作就是对相关人员的英语语言培训。现在，某些英语培训机构由于教学条件不完备，英语学习环境不佳，英语学习资料不尽如人意，所以英语语言的培训效率不高。那么，如何才能在现有的条件下，最大限度地弥补这些不足，较快地提高每位学员的英语交流能力，是值得我们每位英语培训工作者深入探讨的大问题。如果还运用传统的单一的英语教学方法和枯燥的教学材料就不可能在有限的时间内大幅度提高学员的交流能力。要想高效率地搞好英语培训。我们必须关注以下，几点。

一、高度重视发挥原声英语影视片在英语培训中的作用

英语在所有培训的语言中占据着非常重要的位置。所以为了能够在短时间内高效率地搞好英语培训，确保奥运会语言交流无障碍，应充分运用传统与现代媒体技术手段相结合，把合适的精美的英语语言材料引进培训课堂。就英语培训材料而言，英语影视片依然是目前英语培训中十分重要的材料之一。它具有高度的反馈性，而且是一种能直观形象地呈现感性材料，对于促进学生形象思维和抽象思维的结合，具有独特的功效，但目前有些培训人员对英语影视材料在英语培训中的重要性认识不足或运作不到位。因此，非常有必要呼吁广大英语培训人员重视英语影视材料在奥运培训中的应用。

我们有不少中国学生从小学到大学学了十几年英语，但却不会说英语，有的学生能说出来，但英美人却听不懂。而中国大学生甚至小学生一旦到了母语是英语的国家后，几个月的时间就能基本上学会了日常的交流话语。这是为什么呢?因为在我们国内的英语学习中，没有好的学习英语的环境，在有些场合不知说什么。比如，当中国学生听到英国人赞誉他们漂亮时，他们不少人会回答说：No，No，I am not beautiful，这些学生虽能听懂英语，又能回答对方，但答语却不恰当，这是由于中西方文化差异造成的。句中虽没有句法错误，但英国，人却会对此回答感到不可思议。可这样的表述对在英国学习的中国学生来说却是很少见的，因为在日常生活的观察中和与英国人的交往中，他们已经十分熟悉了听到别人对自己赞誉时应该表述自己的谢意。上海新东方学校听力口语培训部主任邱政政认为，看外文原版电影才能把外国人的思维、文化和语言一起“泡”来吃。的确，学习外语，需要大量真实的外语材料来增强学生对所学语言的感性认识。因为我们要想学好外语，不但需要学其语言还要学其文化。这样才能运用得当。所以，恰当的运用原文英语版影视片辅助英语培训，既可以作为我们为学员提供的良好的学习材料，可以为学生创设真实的语言环境提供语言模仿实践的机会，可以激发学生兴趣，可以灌输英美文化知识，可以使学生在潜移默化中学到地道的外语。由于利用它可以从听、说、读、写、译多方面刺激学习者的大脑功能，可以唤起学习者大脑皮层多个信号系统的协同活动，可以多通道输入教学信息。可以增加学习者对教学信息的关注与理解，可以延长知识信息在学习者神经中枢中的保留时间。可以使学习者在自然而轻松的状态下提高自己记忆与学习的成效。实验心理学家特瑞赤拉(Tericher)做了有关知识保持和记忆持久的实验，结果是：人们一般能持久记忆所阅读的材料的10％，所听到的材料的20％，所看到情景的3％，但对于那些同时既能听到又能看到的学习材料能够保持持久记忆的50％，这也就是说在学习语言的过程中，如果既能听到又能同时看到，而后再能将其所学进行很好的练习，知识的保持就大大优于传统的教学效果。这说明在英语教学中很好的应用原声英语影片，不但可以充实教学内容，满足学生需求，并且还非常有利于学生对知识的获取和记忆。因此，我们应充分利用原声英语影视片辅助迎奥运英语培训。

二、选择合适的英语影视片作为英语培训材料

众所周知，原声英语影视片是属于视觉直观教材，所以对于影片的选择要注意以下几点：(1)影视片中英语语言的含量要适中，语言水平应和学生的语言接受能力相协调，要利于学生对语言的理解与对其精美语言的模仿训练。(2)影视片的内容要贴近生活，尤其应将一些和奥运相关的影视材料作为首选。让学生在观看影视片的过程中很轻松地学会日常会话，并应融知识性和趣味性为一体。在学知识的同时激发学生学习英语的兴趣。(3)影视片的语言和画面要达到一定的清晰度，这样可避免产生过多的听觉和视觉错误。(4)影视片的语言速度与其长短要适中。这样有益于学生对语言的理解并有益于合理安排教学时间。总之影视片的选择应着眼于激发学员兴趣，开发学员智力。应以启动学员的观察力与记忆力为契机，应把提高学员的交流作为选择材料的基本出发点，根据教学目标、教学内容，依据教育心理学的原则，按照注意规律来精心选择。

三、灵活运用英语影视片进行英语培训

英语影视片作为一种视觉媒体，在培训中要着重引导学习者观察影片的语言和画面中传递的教学信息，最大限度地理解画面内容的内涵。在放映过程中，为避免信息量过大，导致刺激过多，强度过大，引起学习者的疲劳，影响有效学习，教师要灵活机动，运用多种影视教学法。在采用影视材料作为课堂教学内容时，我们应针对英语教学目标和影片中不同片段的语言及内容采用不同的影视片教学法。比如再对影视片的导人时，我们可根据影视片的内容选用不同的导入方式：背景叙述法、简述布局法、文化对照法、影片概述法、启迪思考法等。而在播放影片的过程中，以下几种是可常用的影视教学法。

1.画面讲授法。

在播放英语原声影片时，由于语言和文化的差异，对于某些画面的含义学生往往难于理解。此时，在播放影片时，教师应针对此画面进行某些要点的讲解，与相关知识的补充，帮助学生分析特征，寻找规律，加深理解。另外，对画面的放映时间教师应根据教学实际情况加以调控，并要让教鞭在画面讲解中配合使用，使学生的观察点和思考点与教师的讲解同步进行。

2.启迪判断法。

运用原声英语影片教学时，在影片的某一要点内容或某一转折点将要出现时，可暂停播放，让学生进行问答、讨论、判断或猜测后，再继续播放续后的内容，这种方法大大有益于学生对电影重点内容的记忆和理解。并且可以避免学生产生视觉和听觉的疲劳感。使其更轻松愉快地欣赏和学习西方语言和文化。

3.文化差异讲解法。

在放映一些地域文化色彩较浓的影片时，其内容往往涉及某地域文化或俚语，他们很可能会直接影响到学生对电影主要内容的理解，当遇到这样的情况时，非常必要给学生讲解相关的中西方文化差异，或在播放中增加必要的解说词，总之，灵活地播放讲解英语教学影视片，对于促进学生积极思维，努力获取和转化教学信息并在转化过程中培养丰富的想象力与联想能力有着十分重大的作用。

4.视、听、说、写、译综合训练法。

在播放原声英语影视片中，应注意挖掘其潜能。在我们播放原声英语材料时，还可利用他们兼做多种英语语言训练。比如：(1)辨音、正音的语言训练；(2)替换单词或转换句型训练；(3)角色替换会话训练；(4)翻译训练；(5)写作训练等等。

2008年，全世界都通过电视、网络等有声媒体或有声链接，感受着“中国元素”蕴涵着的

更多的内容所释放出来的巨大魅力。有人报道这个中国元素，有人报道那个中国元素。但最引起老外兴趣的中国元素，竟然是两个汉字。有很多一句中文不懂的洋记者们，或第一次真正坐下来看北京奥运会的人们，突然间，对这两个汉字发生了极大兴趣。实际上，他们是对两个汉语的发音及意义产生了巨大兴趣。

哪两个汉字及发音呢？就是：“jiayou，加油”。奥运会开始至今，老外满耳朵听到的震天响的声音，就是“jiayou”。那声音如此富有节奏感，喊的人又那么整齐不乱。越来越多的对中国文化基本一窍不通却开始迷恋中国文化的老外们，非想弄明白为什么要喊“jiayou”。

“加油”这个在奥运会上大放异彩的汉语，的确很难从英语中找到合适的词来对应。也就是说，从发音节奏上说，从内容贴切的程度上看，都很难找到准确的对应词来。当然还是有些翻译，如“let’s go，”“go，team! go!”啦，等等，但都不能准确地把中文这个“加油”最精确无误地对应到英语中去。

此外，很多外国网站中的很火的bbs上，都有很多人贴出问题，问“what is jiayou in chinese?”（即，“jiayou在英语中到底是什么意思？”）但得到的回答，基本上与上面所说的相类似，都很难找到一个恰如其份的英语词来替换。有人继续添加说，“加油”的意思是“let's put on some elbow grease”，或“go for it”，或“put more effort into it”，或“don't give up”。如何准确的翻译“加油”一词，似乎成了一个难题。

有人说翻译是一个语言和文化之间的求同的过程，尤其是寻求相似的信息和相似的表达形式或技巧。异域文化取向过度夸大了翻译过程中两种文化的差异，而轻视了翻译活动中追求语言意义的同一性，而这种语言意义的同一性所占的权重在翻译活动中远比文化的差异性大的多。语言是文化的载体，文化是通过语言来传播的。翻译首先要解决语言层面的问题，然后才是文化层面的问题。异化翻译保留了外国文本中的异调。

按以上观点，“加油”应翻译成“come on!”或“go，go，go”或“hop on”。但洋人们不得不承认的是，所有这些，都没有“加油”来得干脆，来得那么有韵律。最让老外感到不解的是，“加油”不仅在奥运会这种欢乐气氛十分浓烈的环境里使用，而且也使用到了四川地震的悲伤环境里，从电视上，老外们看到众多的中国人在天安门广场上一起高喊“中国加油”和“汶川加油”的场面。显然，他们明白，他们对“加油”两字的使用范围和意思的整体把握并不十分了解。也就是说，他们看到“加油”两字居然能同时使用在大悲与大喜两种完全不同情形之中，却不发生冲突。那么，仅仅用英语中的“let’s go!”或“come on!”等字眼来翻译“加油”的话，就会感到十分不恰当，也丧失了中文“加油”的那股劲儿！

这里我们无需评论“异化”和“归化”的谁是谁非，站在发展的角度以和平、理性的态度在重新审视这两个概念，我们认为，它们不是相互抵御、相互矛盾、相互排斥的概念，而是相互补充相互协调相互完善的两种翻译途径，我们不能顾此失彼。正如栗长江老师所说“译文后起的生命是译者调和的结果，没有完全的归化，也没有完全的异化。”例如“卢沟桥事变”的译文就有两种，一是luogouqiao incident，二是the marco polo bridge incident，前者可以算是“异化”翻译，而后者属于借代翻译，可以看作是“归化”翻译了，在翻译中都可以成立，译文各有千秋，我们无法厚此薄彼，只是译者的偏爱和价值观不同而已。再如“红娘”，也在日程生活中不断使用和演变，我们简单的处理为汉语拼音hongniang，还是归化为match-maker，go between，mr.match或者 mrs.match呢？这恐怕要依据文本的语境以及功能来决定，这是因为在我们的日常生活中有大量有关“红娘”的词语，如社区红娘community aid center、网络红娘web assistance、红娘matchmakingservice等等.

可以看出，翻译无处不在的文化内涵，异化翻译有时是行之有效的办法，有时候非归化翻译莫属，如“饺子”最好不要“归化”为dumplings或者chinese dumplings，因为这种归化的产物无法与源语中的概念意义相对应，就像chinese martial arts无法体现中国功夫中的精气神以及博大精深内涵一样，而显得苍白无力。

对于“加油”，我国唯一一家英文日报《china daily》，就直接用汉语拼音jiayou为“加油”走向世界而加油。当然，它采取的就是规划和异化相结合的方式。例如，说“牙买加加油”时，既用“jamaica jiayou”，也说“go，jamaica”。同样，在奥运会期间，我们通过国外媒体，见到的更多的是如下三种表达方式，它们都毫无例外地保留了“加油”的汉语拼音。

加油，巴西！—— jia you，brazil，并紧跟一个解释：let's go brazil（美联社 8月22日）；

中国加油！——“zhongguo jiayou!”或“go china!”（纽约时报 8月24日）；

加油！—— jiayou! go! go!（泰晤士报网8月18日）

联想在2003年中国首次载人航天飞行成功时，太空人（taikonaut）被外媒广泛使用，最终进入了《大英百科全书》，出现在其“太空探索”词条解释里；今年，奥运会在北京成功举办，“加油”成为关注赛事的世界各国人民的“通用词”，这应该也是时代留在人类语言上的印记，也可谓是奥运会留下的一个不大不小的遗产吧。

i was born in beijing and live in beijing, and i love beijing very much. when i heard that beijing will have a chance to hold the 2008 olympic games i feel very happy and excited, and i hope i can do something useful to build beijing into a beautiful and energetic city.

in the twenty-first century, environment is becoming more and more important, so we have "green olympic" as a slogan. of course slogan is just a goal, the most important thing is we should do some things to make it true. such as assort the trash, save the energy and so on. we are still students now, so we can't do anything really big. but if everybody does something good for our environment we could make beijing more beautiful.

in fact the things we can do are easy. like not littering the useless batteries everywhere, assort the trash which we want to throw away, and also protect the animals and plants around us, because they are important parts of the energetic beijing.

luckily i had a chance to take part in an activity that is we planted 5 trees in our campus. my classmates and i worked very hard. this activity doesn't only plant trees, but also contribute to our environment. look at the trees, i believe, tomorrow there will be more trees and flowers standing in beijing and give beijingers a beautiful environment.

we are all chinese people, live on the earth. we have only one capital, just like we have only one earth. if we don't beautify our environment, who will? good environment depends on good human consciousness. we should say that protecting our surroundings is not easy. that's why i'm standing here to summon people do it.

在经济飞速发展的21世纪，环境的好与坏逐渐成为了衡量一个城市优劣的重要标准。因此，我们有了绿色奥运的口号。当然了，口号是指导，最重要的还是要落实到行动当中。诸如垃圾分类，绿色能源，绿色发电等等等等，都是国家为打造生态北京、绿色奥运做出的不懈努力。当然，依旧是学生的我们或许无法做什么大事，但如果每一个人都有心去做一点，那么我们千千万万的北京学子们一定可以让北京美起来！

其实我们要做的也很简单：每当有用完的废电池不要乱扔，应集中交给回收站处理；每当有生活垃圾要扔掉的时候，应认真地进行垃圾分类，再扔进垃圾箱内；而且我们也应当学会保护身边的动植物，一花一草，一鸟一虫都是生态北京的一个重要组成部分。

非常幸运的我曾亲身参与过一次绿色活动。就在今年植树节前夕，我和全班同学一起在校园内种了五棵针叶松。那天风很大，同学们铲土的铲土，挑水的挑水丝毫不怠慢。我和组里的几个男生也运起力量将树苗放进挖好的坑里。十几分钟的时间树都栽好了。活动稍显短暂甚至有些仓促。但这不只是为给学校种几棵树。而是自己为了一方环境做出贡献，以自己的劳动给城市的绿色添上新的一笔。看着眼前的五棵树牵手，我坚信，明天必将有更多更高大的绿树矗立。这片绿色会从我们心底延伸出去，覆盖我们的北京城使它充满活力，生机勃勃。给绿色奥运一个美丽的环境，给我们北京的居民们一个美丽的环境。

奥运英语作文：我最喜欢的中国体操队员(The Chinese gymnast I like best)

In 2000 Sydney Olympic Games, Li Xiaopeng and his teammates were outstanding, winning gold in the prestigious men's team event, a first for China's gymnasts. Li Xiaopeng also won an individual gold medal in the parallel bars.

However, due to a severe foot injury, Li's performance in 2004 Athens Olympic Games was unsatisfying. China finished 5th in the men's team final and Li only got a bronze in parallel bars after he had been unbeaten since 2000 in major competitions. Li Xiaopeng was tortured by a long-time ankle injury and eventually had an operation in 2005.

In 2008, after suffering through yet another injury, this time in his toe, he came back to compete in the Chinese Nationals and took gold in parallel bars in two World Cups, thus surpassing Li Ning in the number of world titles.

If Chinese men gymnastics can regain men's team event? If Li Xiaopeng will win his second personal Olympic gold medals? I hope so!

Ladies and gentlemen: Good morning! Today, the title of my speech is Improving Beijing's environment for the Olympics. Have you ever seen animals cry? Do you know what makes them cry? It's the polluted world, a dirty world, caused by our irresponsible behaviors, that makes those lovely animals cry. Many of us are smart enough to know how terrible it is to have a world without animals and plants. But some people still persist in making the same errors and harming the environment.

What's worse is that people are eating wild animals. Those people don't know, and more importantly, they don't want to know. This kind of behavior has caused some specific problems. For example, medical experts have suggested that eating wild animals helped spread the terrible disease SARS. Now, our world is no longer clean and beautiful. Why? Because air, water, and noise pollution has become more and more serious. Noise pollution makes us talk more loudly and become angry more easily. Water pollution makes our rivers and lakes very dirty. Air pollution is the most serious kind of pollution. Both air pollution and water pollution are not only dangerous to our health, but also dangerous to animals and plants. We're destroying our only world. A large number of trees have been cut down, so a lot of lands have been turned into deserts. Pollution can be seen everywhere! Unquestionably it is essential that we clean up our environment. Sadly, we've not always appreciated the importance of protecting the environment. On the streets, you can see cars producing smog. In the bathrooms, you can see students leaving the water tap on after using them. Not only the young people, but also the elderly ones throw things everywhere without thinking its wrong, even in a beautiful park. These things are taking place every day, even in modern cities like Beijing. We can't do that any more. We must learn how to protect the environment. If everyone is aware of protecting it instead of destroying it, the world can become cleaner, more beautiful, and more peaceful. The theme of Beijing 2008 Olympic Games is "New Peking, New Olympic". It's the target owned by every Chinese. We should try our best to improve Beijing's environment for Olympics.

Let's begin to act! First, start with the things around you. Don't throw rubbish onto the road. Don't talk loudly when you are outdoors. Turn off the water tap after using it. Go to school by bike or by bus instead of by private car. Save your pocket money and contribute to environmental protection organizations. Take me as an example; I take action in order to make our only world full of happiness. I pick up rubbish and throw it into a trashcan. I collect waste paper or bottles for recycling. I plant more trees and flowers, and so on. If you do all these things just like me, it means you have done something useful to improve the environment. We're grateful, because the emblem of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games is a precious treasure dedicated to the Olympic Movement by the people of China. 6、Environment improving for Olympics

the Beijing Municipal government has issued a timetable for improving the city before the start of the 2008 Olympics. By June next year, more than three hundred illegal（违法的） buildings will be demolished（拆除）。

The planning of outdoor advertising boards in the city will be finished before the National Day holiday. And by the end of November, areas beside the railway and light-rail（轻轨） within the city's fifth ring（五环） road, will be covered with trees and grass. The outside of buildings that face the street will be washed and repainted before 2008.

8、《New Beijing，the Three-Colored New Olympics》

Good afternoon ，ladies and gentlemen.

Bidding for the Olympic Games is, in a way, an image-creating undertaking. The first and foremost thing is to let people fall in love with the city at first sight, attracting them by its unique image. What image does Beijing intend to create for itself once it has the opportunity to host the 2008 Olympics? It is known to all that the Beijing Municipal Government has already set the theme for the future games: New Beijing, Great Olympics. For me, the 2008 Olympics will be a great green Olympics illuminated with two more special colors: yellow and red.

First, yellow is a meaningful color. The Yellow River is China’s mother river and the cradle of Chinese civilization. We are of the yellow race and descendants of the Yellow Emperor. This color has a special origin and great significance for the Chinese people. Beijing is the capital of New China and previously the capital for nine dynasties in Chinese history. So, yellow will naturally add splendor to the 2008 Games.

Secondly, the 2008 Olympics will be a red pageant.

Red is another traditionally cherished color for the whole country. We adore red. On big occasions, we like to decorate our homes in red. It is the color of double happiness, representing joyous moments, auspiciousness, enthusiasm and prosperity. Red is one of the most suitable colors to describe the future of Beijing. Beijing, together with the whole country, is becoming more and more prosperous in the process of modernization.

Above all, the 2008 Olympics will be a green Olympics.

Adding the green ingredient is essential in creating an appealing image, as we can’t deny the fact that Beijing, at the moment, is not as green a city as what we like it to be. Striving for an environmentally appealing city has become a central task for all the citizens of Beijing. Big efforts have been made in pollution control, replanting and beautification of the city.

Certainly, all of this is no easy task. But I am sure that all of us have confidence that we will realize these green goals. For now we have the full support and participation of the environmentally conscious citizens. Each citizen is showing great concern for every one of the steps the city government takes. As the saying goes, “United, we stand,” and a green Beijing will be achieved.

When our aspiration becomes reality, it will be a unique Olympics. New Beijing, Great Olympics will be weaved of these three superb colors: yellow, red and green.
