职高《英语》记叙文教法探讨

摘要:了解记叙文的故事情节能激发学生的学习兴趣。在此基础上,还要抓重点,掌握其意义,并达到灵活运用的目的。

关键词:激发兴趣 分层次教学 分组讨论教学

职高英语教学难点之一是学生基础参差不齐。如何激发不同层次学生的学习兴趣,增强信心,成为教学的关键。

记叙文是故事性的,了解故事情节能激发同学们的学习兴趣。还要在此基础上,抓重点,掌握其意义,进而变成自己的知识,并达到灵活运用的目的。

下面以《中等职业教育课程改革国家规划教材 英语》下册第五单元《Whose Fault》为例,谈谈自己的做法。

一、课前预习

预习课文是了解故事内容的重要一环。预习中将难点标出,老师同时给出预习习题。习题要具备以下几个特点:1.针对性和趣味性;2.从易到难的层次性;3.将习题答案连接起来,要能体现故事的梗概。例如:

1.How many people does the text write about?

2.Can you tell me their names and their relationships?

3.Can you tell me their most typical character? 4.Please tell me the time, place, reason, procession and result of the matter.

5.What can we learn from it?

二、检查预习效果

较容易的前两个,让成绩中等偏下的同学回答。1.Four. 2.Bill, Joe, their father and the headmaster.根据回答情况确定讲授的详略。

稍难的第三个问题,让基础较好的同学回答,回答得完整,立即表扬,回答得不完整,和第4、5题一起留给同学们在讲解中思考。

3.Bill: He was a boy who used to stay away from school. Being affected by his brother, he realized his mistakes and wanted to be a good boy.

Joe: He was Bill’s little brother. He was an honest boy.

Bill’s father: He was strict.

The headmaster: He was serious in his work.

4.The time: a hot day

The place: the school to their home

The reason: Bill stayed away from school.

The procession: Bill stayed away from school, the headmaster asked his brother Joe to take a note to their father. Bill asked Joe not to do so. Joe threw the note away. But he was greatly upset. Bill was moved by his brother and took the note back and decided not to stay away from school any longer.

The result: Bill hurt himself, but he decided to be a good boy.

5.We must try our best to be an honest man.

三、解决疑难问题

让大家分成四组,把预习中的难点按组写到黑板上。先讨论,然后自愿讲解自己能回答的问题。不能解答的问题,由老师带领大家分析、讨论、解答。

四、归纳、强调重难点

最后强调应重点掌握的短语及习惯用语。stay away from, be sure to, tell a lie, to tell the truth, not … any more, take on, come to oneself。

整个教学过程充分体现出以学生为主体,老师为主导的教学思路。经过长期努力,同学们逐步养成主动学习的习惯,理解、运用英语的能力普遍得到提高。
