Roddy (Hugh Jackman) is a 3)refined rat, living a life of comfort and 4)luxury in a comfortable flat in London. One day, when a common 5)sewer rat named Syd (Shane Richie) 6)intrudes on his lifestyle 7)via the bathroom sink, Roddy tries to get rid of the unwelcome 8)pest by trying to flush him down the toilet. He plans to trick Syd into the toilet by telling him it’s a 9)whirlpool bath, but the clever guest pushes Roddy in instead. As one might expect, Roddy gets flushed down to the underground sewers, a world very much unlike his own. As he explores this universe, he meets a female rat named Rita (Kate Winslet). She is an 10)entrepreneur Ñ always looking for new ideas that will give her the opportunity to leave the London 11)cesspool behind for the great 12)Parisian sewers. One of the 13)inhabitants of the sewer is the awful 14)Toad (Ian McKellen), who hates all 15)rodents and wants them dead. After his two assistants fail to make Rita and Roddy disappear, Toad has to send for his French cousin ―Frog (Jean Reno), a dreadful and cruel 16)mercenary.
