ANDAMAN& NICOBAR ISlANDS

ANDHRA PRADESH

MAHARASHTRA

MEGHALAYA

1584Visit thewaterfalls on Nongkhnum, the second biggest river island in Asia. It is around 14 km from Nongstoin.
1585VisitCherrapunjee, or Sohra, during the monsoons and see the falls in all their glory. At the height of 1300m, Cherrapunjee offers panoramic view of the Meghalaya landscape, dramatic rock falls, deep gorges and valleys with rivulets and streams.
1586The monsoon is also a good time to picnic at Khoh Ramhah near Cherrapunjee. It’s a conical rock formation with two similar shaped stones next to each other and, during the season, a monsoon stream flows between the two rocks.
1587Climb the Observation Tower at Mawsmai Ridge for a view of Nohsngithiang Falls. India’s fifth highest waterfall divides into seven as it cascades over the hills, which is why it’s also known as the Seven Sisters.

NAGALAND
