A Gift

Itwasthe end ofthe schoolyear， and a kindergarten teacher was receiving gifts from her pupils.The （卖花的商人）son handed her a gift. She shook it ，held it overhead，and said， “I bet I know what it is. Some flowers.”

“That’s right，”the boy said， “But how did you know?”

“Oh，just a wild guess，”she said.

The next pupil was the sweet shop owner’s daughter. The teacher held her gift overhead，shook it，and said， “I bet I can guess what it is. A box of sweets.”

“That’s right ，but how did you know?”asked the girl.

“Oh， just a wild guess，”said the teacher.

The next gift was from the son of the (卖酒的店主). The teacher held the package overhead， but it was(漏水). She touched a drop of the leakage with her finger and touched it to her tongue. “Is it wine?”she asked.

“No，”the boy replied ，with some excitement.

The teacher repeated the process， taking a larger drop of the leakage to her tongue. “Is it(香槟酒)?”she asked.

“No，”the boy replies ，with more excitement.

The teachertookonemoretastebefore declaring, “I give up，what is it?”

With great glee，the boy replied， “It’s a(小狗)!”

一个学年快要结束了，一位幼儿园老师正在接受学生们送来的礼物。花店老板的儿子递给她一盒礼物，她摇了摇盒子，把礼物举到头顶上，说：“我敢打赌，我知道是什么了。一些花。”

“对了，但你怎么知道的？”那个男孩说。

“哦，我是瞎猜的。”老师说。

下一个学生是糖果店老板的女儿。老师把礼物盒举到头上，摇了摇盒子，说，“我敢打赌，我能猜到是什么。一盒糖。”

“对了，但你怎么知道的？”小女孩问道。

“哦，我是瞎猜的。”老师说。

下一份礼物是酒类零售店店主的儿子送的，老师把盒子举到头顶，但是盒子漏水了。她用手指头接了一滴，用舌头一碰，问，“是酒吗？”

“不对，”男孩有点兴奋地回答。

老师又做了一遍前面的动作，接了一大滴，送到舌头上，问：“是香槟吗？”

“不对，”男孩更加兴奋地答道。

老师再尝了一口，才说，“猜不中了，到底是什么？”

男孩高兴极了，回答说，“一只小狗。”
