Thank you， challenges

A person may meet many challenges in his or her life. Some people think challenges are terrible. But I think they’re great. And I want to say， “Thank you， challenges！”

For some people， it’s hard to face the challenges because they are afraid of failing in the end. However， it’s necessary for a person to face the challenges. Challenges are good to① you. If you beat them， your knowledge and braveness will increase. Beat② them will also give you confidence. If you lose， it won’t be a bad thing for you， though. You should try to correct your mistakes， or③ you will be perfect step by step.

Now， you see， it’s really important to face the challenges.

1. 优点：

人生不可能一帆风顺，挑战必不可少，面对挑战，我们心存畏惧是可以理解的，但我们不应该因为恐惧而退缩。在本文中，陈晨同学阐述了自己对于挑战的看法，指出了无论挑战的结果成功或者失败，都有着积极的意义，态度乐观，值得学习。本文作为一篇议论文，颇有写作难度，但小作者从正反两面着眼，以小见大，很独到。

2. 需要修改的地方：

①to改为for。be good for意为“对……有好处”。

②Beat改为Beating。此句中已存在一个动词give，句首动词通常使用v-ing形式。

③or改为and。上下文是并列关系，不是转折关系，or意为“否则”，所以应改为and。

3. 评分：

按江苏省连云港市中考英语作文满分20分的评分标准，本文修改前可得18分。
