The Story of Shen Nong

We Chinese think Shen Nong was one of the three Great Emperors in Chinese ancient history. Shen Nong was born in the south of China about 5， 000 years ago. He did a lot of things in his life. He taught people about farming. And he tasted all kinds of plants to find useful medicine to help sick people. Lots of people said he found tea. Shen Nong died because he ate some poisonous plants. However， Chinese people will always remember him.

Catching the Bus

I go to school by bus every day. I usually leave home at 6：50 in the morning since the earliest bus leaves at 7：00. One morning when I woke up I found it was nearly 7：00！I took my school bag and rushed out without having breakfast. I ran all the way to the bus stop. When I arrived， the bus was about to leave. I jumped onto the bus right away. I got on the right bus in time but on a wrong day―it was Saturday.

Protecting the Earth

The earth is in trouble now！We need to take measures to protect the environment.

Recycling is a great way to save energy， space and money. However， recycling is not the only way to protect the environment. For example， we can save water by taking shorter showers. It is also important for us to use reusable bottles for drinks and have our lunch in reusable bowls.

Moreover， if we always remember to turn off the power when our TV sets or computers are not in use， we can save a lot of energy.

It is time for us to take action to make the earth a better place！

A Very Stupid Farmer

The story says that once upon a time there was a farmer. He planted some rice on his farm. Some days later， the farmer felt unhappy when he saw the rice. That was because the rice grew very slowly. The farmer thought a moment and started to pull these plants high. He thought it was a good way to help them grow. However his rice all died at last.

The story tells us that we should do things following their rules. If we don’t follow the rule， the result will be bad.
