南宁海关全力以赴阻击禽流感

近期,越南多个省份相继爆发H5N1型高致病性禽流感疫情,且造成多人死亡,为有效防止禽流感疫情通过口岸传播,南宁海关采取多项措施,防控高致病性禽流感从越南入境｡

据了解,南宁海关定期分析防控形势,加大对进口禽类及其产品,特别是对境外疫区及重点地区可疑物品､运输工具的查验力度,对来自越南的进境运输工具､货物､物品及人员的自用物品进行重点查验,严防伪报､瞒报､夹带疫区禽类产品入境｡同时,还充分发挥x光检查设备的作用,对来往中越的国际公路直通车旅客行李物品逐件过机检查,对国际铁路联运旅客的行李物品加强重点抽查,严防家禽类动物及其肉制品通过旅检及行邮渠道出入境｡

截至12月初,南宁海关与当地政府和检验检疫部门开展联合行动38次,发放宣传材料4300多份,查获从非设关地偷运走私入境的禽类动物260多只,封堵企图偷运进境的越南活鸡上百只,退运鸭毛700公斤,有效防止了高致病性禽流感疫情传入境内｡

12月20日南宁海关与越南新清海关支局在浦寨互市点进行禽流感疫情防控工作交流,双方分别介绍了在防控禽流感疫情方面所采取的措施,并就进一步加强边境防控禽流感疫情工作达成共识:一是双方海关提高对边境口岸防控禽流感疫情工作的认识;二是加大对边境地区禽流感疫情的监测工作,保持边境口岸两国海关的密切联系配合,互通信息;三是禁止两国边民在互市点范围进行家禽交易及携带鸡鸭等禽类进出境｡

Recently, some provinces in Vietnam broke out a deadly pandemic caused by H5N1 strain of bird flu, leaving several deaths. To effectively prevent bird flu viruses in Vietnam from entering China via airport, the Nanning Customs took a series of measures to diffuse the situation.

The Nanning Customs gave regular analysis on prevention and control situation, tightened examination upon imported poultry and products, suspicious goods, transportation vehicles from pandemic areas. Priority was given to examine transportation vehicles, goods and stuff for self-use entering from Vietnam, greatly prohibiting false application and secretly carried poultry from pandemic area to cross the border. Meanwhile, they have made full use of X-ray equipment to examine luggage, piece by piece, carried by passengers traveling by international bus across the border. Selected examination was carried out on luggage carried by passengers traveling by international train, strictly forbidding poultry and its meat product to enter China via touring and mailing service.

By early Dec. the Nanning Customs joined hands with local authorities, inspection and quarantine departments to launch 38 actions, handed out 4,300 leaflets, confiscated over 260 smuggled poultries from abroad, prevented hundreds of live chicken from entering China from Vietnam, repatriated 700 kilos of the down of duck, effectively stopping the spread-over of the deadly pandemic.

On Dec. 20th, the Nanning Customs and Vietnam Xinqing Customs held a meeting on prevention and control over bird flu pandemic in Puzai where bilateral trade fair was held. Both sides gave respective introduction of measurements taken to prevent and control over the pandemic and reached consensus on further strengthening prevention and control over the pandemic along the border. Firstly, both parties should improve knowledge about prevention and control over the pandemic. Secondly, they should strengthen supervision over bird flu pandemic in border area, maintain close cooperation between bilateral customs offices and exchange information. Thirdly, citizens living along the border in both countries are prohibited to do poultry trade in trade fair and carry poultry such as chicken, duck, etc to cross the border.
